Biography Cont.:Howard Scheinberg was also involved in numerous investigations involving the murders of Broward Law Enforcement Officers. As a senior member of the Homicide Unit, he was directly involved in the policy and decision making for the pursuit of the death penalty in pending murder cases. During the course of his career, he utilized all types of accident reconstruction, boating and automobile crash reconstructions, and used various animations in trial presentations. He has lectured throughout the State and nationally on the use of demonstrative aids in trial and “The Visual Trial”  as well as “The Art of Cross Examination.”

Biography:For the past 21 years, Howard Scheinberg worked through and up the chain of command at the Broward State Attorney’s Office. Eleven years ago, he was assigned to the Capital Homicide Unit responsible for many high profile murder cases. In addition to prosecutorial strategy for death penalty cases, he reviewed police use of deadly force policies and presented numerous police involved fatal shootings to the Broward Grand Jury. Howard Scheinberg tried 47 First Degree Murder cases, and approximately 20 death penalty cases involving Murder for Hire, Sexual Homicides, Child Murder, Infanticide, Elderly Abuse Murders, and Drug Trafficking Related Murders. In total he has tried in excess of 300 jury trials involving all types of crimes. On three occasions he was appointed as a Special Assistant United States Attorney as trial attorney in Federal Drug Trafficking Murder cases, and the Murder of Broward Sheriff’s Deputy Todd Fatta.
