Biography: Ms. Stern concentrates her practice in labor and employment litigation, representing both management and employees in federal and state courts and before various administrative agencies. She has extensive experience litigating wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims under a variety of statutes including the Fair Labor Standards Act (individual plaintiffs and collective actions), Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans With Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, civil rights cases arising under 42 U.S.C. ยง 1981, the Florida Civil Rights Act, and state and federal whistleblower laws. Ms. Stern's litigation experience also includes tort (fraud, defamation, negligence, tortious interference), and contract claims arising from the termination of employment relationships, non-compete agreements, severance agreements, and the hiring, training and supervision of employees.
